Friday $60,000We’ve been tracking the rising poker career of “BcsBestBud”, a Canadian poker player. At the end of December he finished in 4th place in the Friday $60,000 Guaranteed R/A for a prize of $5,448. This past Friday he scored a big tournament win in the same event. Besting a field of 308 players, he captured first place for a payout prize of $14,187.25.

Titan Poker players finished in four places at the final table of the Friday $60,000 Guaranteed R/A, a weekly event with a $100+$9 buy-in and offering re-buys and an add-on. “HonkHonkUrADonk” from the United Kingdom finished in 7th place for a $2,513.17 prize. Just ahead of him in 6th place was “XcomX” from Belarus who won $3,250.17. Finishing in third place was “DavaiBabkiBratuh” from Russia who won $8,107.

When heads-up play began, “BcsBestBud” was trailing “hownorez” by a 2-1 margin in chips. The Canadian managed to take the lead when his pair of jacks outlasted the A J held by his opponent. The two competed for an additional 41 hands, but the Canadian didn’t relinquish the lead even once. On the final hand of the tournament, his A 9 bettered the Q 9 held by “hownorez”, when a nine appeared on the flop and the ace kicker held.
