Die beste Poker-Song Liste aller Zeiten

Kürzlich haben wir eine Frage auf unserer Facebook-Seite gepostet und unsere Anhänger nach ihrer Meinung zu einer sehr wichtigen Frage gefragt, welche jedem Pokerspieler am Herzen liegt. Wir wollten Folgendes wissen, "Welcher ist Ihr bevorzugter Pokersong aller Zeiten?"

Sehen wir uns mal die Pokersongs an, die es in unsere Kultur durch Filme, Fernsehshows und der Massenmarkt-Musikindustrie geschafft haben. Nachfolgend finden Sie unsere Rekord-Pokersongliste. Haben wir etwas vergessen?

1) Lassen Sie uns mit dem Klassiker "The Gambler" beginnen, welcher von Don Schlitz geschrieben und von dem amerikanischem Country-Künstler Kenny Rogers gesungen wurde. "The Gambler" wurde im November 1978 veröffentlicht und Rogers gewann 1980 den Grammy für Best Male Country Vocal Performance.

"You got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em,
Know when to walk away, know when to run.
You never count your money when you're sittin' at the table,
There'll be time enough for countin' when the dealin's done."

 

2) "Poker Face" von der amerikanischen Musikerin und Songschreiberin Lady Gaga, ist ein Song aus ihrem Debüt-Album, The Fame (2008). Das Lied hatte weltweiten Riesenerfolg.

"I wanna hold em like they do in Texas please
Fold em let em hit me raise it baby stay with me, I love it
Luck and intuition play the cards with Spades to start
And after he's been hooked I'll play the one that's on his heart"

 

3) Der Song "Losing Hand" war 1957 auf dem Debüt-Album für Atlantic Records von Ray Charles zu finden. Das Album wurde im Jahr 1962 wiederveröffentlicht.

"I thought I'd be your king baby, yes and you could be my queen
I thought I'd be your king baby, yes and you could be my queen
But you used me for your joker ´cause I thought you're deal was clean"

 

4) Die britische Heavy Metal Band Motorhead veröffentlichte ihr viertes Album, "Ace of Spades", im November 1980. Der Titeltrack mit dem gleichen Namen debütierte im Oktober des gleichen Jahres und erreichte in den UK-Single Charts Platz 15.

"If you like to gamble, I tell you I'm your man,
You win some, lose some, all the same to me,
The pleasure is to play, makes no difference what you say,
I don't share your greed, the only card I need is
The Ace Of Spades"

 

5) Der Song "Deal" wurde erstmals von Grateful Dead im Februar 1971 performt. "Deal" wurde häufig auch von der Jerry Garcia Band gespielt.

"Since it costs a lot to win, and even more to lose,
You and me bound to spend some time wond'rin' what to choose.
Goes to show, you don't ever know,
Watch each card you play and play it slow,
Wait until that deal come round,
Don't you let that deal go down, no, no."

 

6) Wussten Sie, dass der Songwriter/Sänger Leonard Cohen einen Song über Poker hat? Hören Sie sich seinen Song, "The Stranger Song" an, welchen Sie auf sein Debüt-Album des Jahres 1967 finden können.

"You hate to watch another tired man
Lay down his hand
Like he was giving up the holy game of poker
And while he talks his dreams to sleep
You notice there's a highway
That is curling up like smoke above his shoulder
It's curling up like smoke above his shoulder."

 

7) Die australische Hard-Rock Band AC/DC nahm "She's Got the Jack" (manchmal auch ganz einfach "The Jack") in ihrem zweiten Studio-Album auf, welches im Dezember 1975 veröffentlicht wurde.

"Poker face was her name
Poker face was her nature
Poker straight was her game
If she knew she could get you"

 

8) Den Song "No Cheap Thrill" konnte man im Album "Nine Objects of Desire" finden, welches im September 1996 von Suzanne Vega veröffentlicht wurde.

"I'll see you, I'll call you, I'll raise you
But it's no cheap thrill
It will cost you, cost you, cost you
Anything you have to pay."

 

9) Die amerikanische Rockband O.A.R. (kurz für Of a Revolution), veröffentlichte den Song "That Was a Crazy Game of Poker" 1997 in ihrem Debüt-Album und es wurde ein Grundnahrungsmittel bei allen Live-Shows der Gruppe.

"That was a crazy game of poker
I lost it all
But someday I'll be back again
And I'm never to fall
Never to fall"

 

10) "Lonesome Loser" wurde von der Little River Band aufgenommen, eine australische Rock-Band, die im Jahr 1975 entstand.

"Have you heard about the lonesome loser
Beaten by the queen of hearts every time
Have you heard about the lonesome loser
He's a loser, but he still keeps on tryin'"
